Bin Hilal Enterprises (BHE) is an Abu Dhabi based UAE company, which is involved in a wide range of activities. BHE represents companies which are technology leaders and has formed a joint venture company 'Symphony Bin Hilal Plastics LLC' with Symphony Plastics Ltd, of the United Kingdom. This joint venture is based in Mussafah, Abu Dhabi. Symphony Plastics, in association with its worldwide partners, have solved the environmental problem caused by polyethylene generated from garbage bags, bin liners and packaging.
Using state of the art technology a polyethylene product range has been developed which is inherently degradable (breaks up into carbon dioxide and water ) and will degrade completely in a landfill site. Alternatively the material is fully recyclable. The worldwide search for a proven degradable polyethylene is at an end .. and it really works ! The factory in UAE, started production in September 2000 and has a current capacity of 200 tons per month, which is dedicated to the manufacture of garbage bags. Production capacity is expected to increase to 1000 tons per month by the end of 2004.
